(CBS Seattle) — The Gorge Amphitheater, along with other Live Nation venues across the country will start offering locally-sourced produce and meat options.
In a press release issued Wednesday, Live Nation says all the hamburgers, hot dogs, sausages and chicken tenders it sells will have been deemed “responsibly raised” according to The Humane Society of the United States and all the onions, lettuce and tomates you put on that burger will come from farms in the area. Venues will also start offering vegetarian options and Live Nation says it’s absorbing any cost increase, so fans won’t see a price increase for similar products.
it’s important for my family to buy locally grown produce, to know where our meat comes from, and to have a variety of vegetarian options whenever possible,” said Live Nation CEO Michael Rapino. “We know from working so closely with the artist community and from the fans that come to our events, that it’s important to many of them as well.”
White River Amphitheater in Auburn the other Live Nation venue in Washington that will start offering healthier food options.
